REPRESENTING CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS SINCE 1979
Hanson Howard Gallery, a woman owned and operated business, is one of the Pacific Northwest’s longest established art galleries. Our artists include some of the strongest painters, sculptors, and printmakers in the region, many of whom are women or from rural areas. Our mission is to support emerging and established artists by creating connections to the public in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Featuring new exhibitions monthly, we participate in the Ashland Gallery Association’s First Friday Art Walk. Visit us at 89 Oak Street, just one block north of the Oregon Shakespeare Theater Campus.
OUR STORY
Originally established in 1979 by Judy Howard, Hanson Howard Gallery has been a stalwart supporter of the arts in Oregon for nearly half a century. Judy’s work in the arts, through Hanson Howard Gallery, has been recognized by the city of Ashland, as well as The Schneider Museum of Art. Upon Judy’s retirement in 2020, Élan Chardin stepped up as owner and with the assistance of Paige Gerhard, continues to carry on with the same integrity and commitment to both artists and patrons.
